"Helpful support, from what I remember"
I had some kind of issue with my order, I don’t even remember all the details now, but I do remember being annoyed enough to contact customer service. They got back to me quickly and were actually nice about it, which stood out. I think it took one extra message to get everything fully handled, but it wasn’t a big deal. Not totally perfect, but definitely better than most online support I’ve dealt with.

"Return went smoother than I expected"
I accidentally ordered the wrong shade from Madison Reed and had to send it back. The return process itself was simple, though support took a few days to respond, which made me wonder if they were hoping I’d just forget about it. But once someone did get back to me, they were friendly and handled the refund without any hassle. The timing could’ve been better, but overall it ended up being a decent experience

"Color held up better than I expected"
I tried Madison Reed a few weeks ago, and from what I can tell, the color has held up well. I’m not exactly tracking it super closely or anything, but it still looks good overall. I did notice a little fading near the roots, though nothing too dramatic. I’m happy with it for the most part, I just kind of wish the shine lasted a bit longer.

"The colorist advice actually helped a lot"
I wasn’t totally sure what shade to pick, and I probably would’ve guessed wrong because I always think my hair is darker than it is, even though that doesn’t really make sense. The colorist gave me advice and the shade ended up being just right. Super happy with it.

"The quiz actually got my shade right"
I was surprised the quiz matched my color so well. I’ve had such a hard time finding the right shade before, and it’s always frustrating, like really frustrating, when products are too orange or too light. This one actually looked right on me, which was a relief. I just wish shade matching wasn’t such a hassle in general, because it’s always a hassle, but the quiz did a good job.

Overall, it covered most of my grays well, and the color actually looked natural, which I appreciated. That said, a few stubborn grays started peeking through after a couple of weeks, which was a little annoying. Still, I’ll give it credit—it worked better for me than regular box dye

"Way less messy than I thought it’d be"
I was rushing a bit and expected this to turn into a whole mess, but it was surprisingly easy to use. The color cream pretty much stayed where I put it, and I only got a tiny smear on my skin near my ear. It wiped off right away, and I didn’t end up staining my sink or towels. For an at-home color, it was a nice surprise.

"Really nice Color Bar visit!"
I stopped by the Madison Reed Color Bar for a root touch up, it was a good experience! My stylist was super friendly, helped me figure out the right shade, and I never felt rushed or weird about asking questions.

The color turned out really even and covered my grays so much better than when I attempt it at home... The place was clean, my appointment started on time, and yeah, I’d definitely go back again.

I don’t remember every little step, but I do remember being surprised that one box was plenty for my thick, shoulder-length hair. I didn’t feel like I had to stretch it at all, and it covered my greys really well

"It really did cover my stubborn grays"
I’ve been using the Madison Reed root touch-up in between my regular color appointments, it surprised me in the best way. My gray roots usually fight through almost everything, but this actually covered them without making my hair look too dark, flat, or obvious.
It was simple to apply and didn’t leave a mess all over my bathroom, which I really appreciated. The color blended in naturally with the rest of my hair, and unlike a few other touch-ups I’ve tried, it didn’t have that dusty or chalky look. Based on how well it worked for me, I’ll definitely keep it on hand.
